Emergency First Aid at Work – 1-Day Training Course

Health in the Workplace and the principles of design and procedures. This course will give you the knowledge and confidence to take charge of an emergency accident or sudden illness at work.

By the end of the session, participants will have an understanding of:

  • Principles of First Aid
  • Unconsciousness
  • Burns / Scalds
  • Shock
  • Blood Loss
  • Asphyxia
  • Other Conditions
  • Resuscitation / Defibrillation
  • Recovery Position
  • Records / Reporting

Course Objectives

All employees and volunteers. Those employees who are going to act as an ‘appointed person’ for the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations.

One day

A mixture of:

  • Interactive PowerPoint presentation
  • Group and individual exercises
  • Q&A and sharing of knowledge/ experiences where appropriate

Continual assessment, no formal examination. Certificate awarded to successful candidates.

  • Individuals: Kays Medical Training Centre
  • Groups: Kays Medical Training Centre or Client Site (Max. 15 persons)
