reassurance that someone is both aware of mental health issues and in a position to step in and offer support and guidance in the correct way, implementing positive change in the workplace.

What topics will I cover in this course?

As part of the course syllabus, the objectives you will cover include

  • Define Mental Health and be aware of the range of Mental Health disorders
  • Be aware of the effects of Mental Health issues at Work
  • List relevant workplace legislation
  • State purpose, principles and practice of Mental Health First Aid at Work
  • Identify those at risk or in crisis
  • Communicate effectively with those at risk or in crisis
  • Design and implement an action plan for those at risk or in crisis
  • Encourage positive changes in the workplace regarding Mental Health

This is a two-day course.

We permit a maximum of 12 people per course.

This course can be held at Kays training centre in Liverpool. Alternatively, training can be held at customer sites across the mainland UK and Northern Ireland (subject to appropriate facilities).
